Today at Stromness Primary School we all had a chance to meet Clyde. He came and told as all about his journeys and explained what the Commonwealth Games was and all the sports that would be included in the games. We had great fun and are really looking forward to the Games.
Miss Kelday our P5 teacher even had a race with Clyde! What afternoon!

The Hope Primary had a fantastic visit from Clyde today. He arrived before school and met all the children as they came in and then took charge of our assembly.
George (P4) says "He told us lots of things about the commonwealth Games - how many sports there are and how many countries are competing."
Alfie says "I was impressed by how many places he has been and how many people he has met."
P5-7 Teacher Mrs Peace was also impressed! In fact she was the person who had made it all happen by asking Clyde to visit. Clyde told Mr Hill that he couldn't remember so many requests from one person!
Before Clyde left he had an extra surprise - A "Clyde Cake," also baked by Mrs Peace who is clearly one of the most enthusiastic Commonwealth Games Teachers in the UK!
